The nine candidates seeking Becky Shockley’s old seat on the Burlington City Council will all take part in a public forum tonight(Weds).
Tracey Watts of 10-03 Court Street…Marcques Derby of 426 South Adams…Dan Wischmeier of 2100 South 4th…Jim Davidson of 2008 South 12th…John Sandell of 820 Easy Street…Leo Hallowell of 2018 South 13th…Jeff Johnson of 111 South Adams…Chris Reed of 821 Cindy Drive…and Kevin Long of 1909 Orchard Street…have all said they’ll answer questions on the third floor of City Hall today(Weds) from 5 to 6:30.
The debate will be broadcast “live” on cable channel 18 and KBUR.
Two of the nine candidates will advance from a December 2nd primary to a December 30th special election. The winner that day will serve the rest of the term of council member Becky Shockley, who resigned to accept an employment offer.
