There are two special elections in the area tomorrow(Tues).
One is a Burlington primary, featuring nine men running for one seat on the City Council. The three polling places…Messiah Lutheran Church on West Avenue…Bethany Lutheran on Madison…and Oak Street Baptist…will be open from 7 am til 8 pm. The top two vote-getters will face-off in a December 30th election, with the winner to succeed Becky Shockley on the 5-member Council.
The other local election tomorrow(Tues) is only for voters in the West Burlington School District, where a building-bond issue…the Physical Plant rate…and one board seat will be decided. There’ll be just one polling place in West Burlington…St. Mary’s Church…and the polls are open from noon to 8 tomorrow(Tues).
