At the request of City Manager Jim Ferneau, the Burlington City Council last(Mon) night postponed…for one week…formal approval of a state grant application for a number of flood mitigation projects.
Ferneau says he’s been told by a consultant that the State may be willing to part with as much as $31,500,000 to help pay for Burlington’s master plan. In other words, the City will be asking for close to double what the original grant application sought.
