Leaving for the Holidays? Vote Now in Burlington City Election

Absentee ballots are now available for the December 30th Burlington City Council election between former Mayors Jim Davidson and John Sandell.

The winner will serve for about three years as the Council’s 5th member, succeeding Becky Shockley, who resigned. City residents 18-and-older may request an absentee ballot by mail. You’ll be asked to fill out an official Absentee Ballot Request Form, which can then be mailed or hand-delivered to the Des Moines County Auditor’s office. The request form is also available on-line (at dmcounty.com) or by calling 753-8232.

The last day to request a ballot to be mailed to you is December 26th (and of course the courthouse will be closed on the 24th and 25th for Christmas.)
