A handful of area cities are among 22 statewide that’ll be sharing low-interest state of Iowa loans to upgrade the quality of their water.
A release from the Iowa Finance Authority says West Burlington is getting $687,000 for planning & design…Wapello $2-million…Ottumwa $4.8-million …Kalona $1.1-million…and Wellman $210,000, all for construction. All told, more than $27-million will be handed out by the IFA and the Department of Natural Resources.
