The West Burlington School Board interviewed three candidates and appointed Wayne Ross to the board.
The spot opened up when former President Lenny Sanders moved out of the district for a job in Ft. Dodge. The other board members chose Ross…who has three kids attending West Burlington schools…after listening to Lynn Hartsock, Dan Hockett and him.
The board may decide next week whether to hold another Physical Plant & Equipment Levy(PPEL) referendum. The last one was voted down last month. If another special election is called for April, Ross’s name will go before the voters. If not, he’ll serve until Sanders’ term is up…in September.
