He had claimed he was defending himself…but a Des Moines County jury evidently didn’t buy it…convicting 36-year old Earl Dunn of Attempted Murder in last summer’s shooting of 37-year old Kelon Tucker.
It went down the morning of July 29th outside Dunn’s house at 12th and Acres in Burlington. Although Dunn testified that he fired in self-defense, ballistics showed that he shot Tucker four times…and two of the bullets hit him in the back, with the other wounds to his chest and crotch.
Local judge Michael Schilling will sentence Dunn March 2nd.
