Burlington Council Wants to Keep Using Armory Buildings

Nothing official was done, but a majority of the Burlington City Council yesterday(Mon) agreed by consensus to sell the old armory on Summer Street to the Airport and then lease back…for a dollar-a-year…a couple of buildings the city uses for storage and other things.

For the record, Councilmen Tim Scott and Jim Davidson would prefer that the City subdivide and maintain ownership of the buildings it currently uses……and Scott voiced his frustration at the seemingly ever-changing regulations passed down by the FAA and the lack of communication with the airport board over the years.
