Mt. Pleasant to Propose Loans Next Month

Mount Pleasant’s City Council set the date to propose a $2,190,000 General Obligation Loan that they plan to use to finance construction on Iris Street and purchase a new fire truck.

The council met on Wednesday. They also set a date to propose a second, $3,900,000 loan designed to refinance the city’s debt to take advantage of lower interest rates. Both loans will be proposed on March 10th at 5:30pm.

The council will discuss the proposed 2016 Budget on March 4th at 5:00.
