Two Arrested After Fort Madison Fight, Stabbing

One man was stabbed and another beaten during a fight in Fort Madison on Thursday.

Fort Madison Police say that 28 year old Kevin Lamond Claville and 24 year old Tourmaria Resean Baynes, both of Fort Madison, were arrested after allegedly pulling a male acquaintance from his vehicle and attacking him. When a second man exited the vehicle to try to help his friend, he was apparently stabbed by Baynes.

Police say that the injuries to the victims are not life-threatening. Police responded to a report of a fight at around 10:30pm on Thursday night in the 1400 block of Avenue F, when they arrived the fight was over, however eyewitness investigation led to Claville and Baynes.

Claville faces charges of burglary, stemming from him reaching into the victim’s vehicle, and two accounts of serious assault. Baynes is facing charges of going armed with intent and willful injury for stabbing one of the victims, as well as serious assault and possession of a controlled substance.
