Emmett G. Messer, 88, of Yarmouth, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Prairie Ridge Care and Rehab Center in Mediapolis.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Elliott Chapel, New London. Rev. James Messer, and Pastors Carl Vass, and Steve Parker will officiate. Burial will be in Shinar Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Pleasant Grove with Military Rites presented by the Henry County Honor Guard. Visitation will begin after noon on Wednesday, March 4 at the Chapel, with the family greeting friends from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorials have been established to the Des Moines County 4-H Foundation and Danville United Church of Christ.
Shirley Anne Wilson, 78, West Burlington died Saturday 2/28 at the Great River Medical Center Klein Center in West Burlington.
She is survived by her daughter, Kari Potter of West Burlington and a brother, James Johnson of Bedford, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday 3/5 at Lunning Chapel with burial in the Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call after noon on Wednesday 3/4 at Lunnings with the family receiving friends from 6-8PM.
