SCC Basketball may be over, but some players are still celebrating. Several SCC players on both the Women’s and Men’s squads were named to the all-region team on Tuesday.
Women’s players included Champale Grays on the first team, Tatiana Nikitina and Selina Barnes on the second team, and Emily Soy and Andrekia Thompson on the third team. On the men’s squad it was Josh Ross who took top honors, folllowed by Isiah Graves, Steven Soukup, and Sam McDaniel.
In College Basketball tonight, Nebraska and Penn State duke it out to determine who faces the Iowa Hawkeyes tomorrow in the second round of the Big 10 Conference Tournament. Iowa plays the winner of that game tomorrow at the United Center in Chicago.
Tomorrow is also a big day in prep basketball as the Danville boys take on Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto at 12:15 in Des Moines.
In the NHL last night the St. Louis Blues edged out Winnipeg 5-4. The Blues as well as the Blackhawks in Chicago take the ice tomorrow night against Philapelphia and Arizona, respectively.
In the NBA, the Bulls take on the Philadelphia 76ers.
