The 23rd Annual SnowBull kicked off it’s first night last night at the Burlington Memorial Auditorium on the Riverfront.
Cowboys from across the country descended on the contest with hopes of taking home a piece of a $10,000 contest purse, one of the biggest purses in Amateur Bull Riding.
21 year old Cody Long has been riding bulls since he was a child. He made the trip to Burlington from Stephenville, Texas.
“I started riding big bulls when I was 13. I’ve been doing it ever since then,” Long told KBUR, “I’ve been up here going to these rodeos [in Iowa and Minnesota] lately. I just kind of go everywhere, pretty much.”
SnowBull runs through tomorrow, both days starting at 7:00. Tickets are available online at ticketmaster.com, or at the door.
