West Burlington-Notre Dame’s Track Atheletes had a banner day at their home track meet last night. The Falcons won the class A team title with 175 points, and shattered two school records: Timmy Williams, Brant Wrede, Isaiah Trousil, and Xavior Williams beat the school record in 4×200 relay, winning in 1 minute, 31.44 seconds, and the 4×100 relayin 43.22 seconds.
The Chicago Cubs have annunced that they’ll be starting their season without top 3rd base prospect Kris Bryant. Despite a strong spring training season, Bryant has been struggling with right shoulder soreness, and was delegated to the Triple A Iowa Cubs for an indetermininate amount of time.
Cubs took down San Fransisco 8-5, White Sox fell to Cleveland 4-1, St. Louis beat out Washington 6-2, and Kansas City beat Texas 11-7.
In the NHL, the Chicago Blackhawks beat Los Angeles 4-1, St, Louis fell to Vancouver by that same margin, 4-1.
