The Burlington Bees had their first game on a damp Community Field last night as they played an exhibition game against Southeastern Community College. The Bees took down the Blackhawks with a late-game rally, 12-8.
The University of Connecticut took home the NCAA National Championship Women’s Basketball Trophy last night, downing Notre Dame 63-53.
In High School Girls Soccer, Burlington took down Fort Madison 11-1, scoring four goals in the first ten minutes.
In Baseball, the second meeting of the series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs was postponed due to heavy rain. White Sox continue their series against Kansas City tonight.
In the NHL, the St. Louis Blues fell to Winnipeg, 1-0, and the Chicago Blackhawks lost to Minnesota, 2-1.
