At Spirit Hollow Golf Course, Alejandra Arellano and her Wichita State squad proved to be the dominant force during the Missouri Valley Conference Women’s Golf Championship. Arellano beat out Southern Illinois’ Brooke Cusumano by six shots, scoring 4 over par: 76 strokes.
The Notre Dame-West Burlington Nike Boys took down the Burlington Greyhounds on the Tennis Court Last Night, winning 8-1. Burlington’s Girls squad had better luck, they downed Keokuk 6-3. The Notre Dame-West Burlington Girls shut out Mount Pleasant 9-0. Fort Madison beat Fairfield 8-1, and Holy Trinity lost to Maharishi 8-1.
The Burlington Bees won on the road last night. They beat the Beloit Snappers 6-0.
Royals downed the Twins last night in Major League Baseball, 6-5. White Sox fell to Cleveland, 6-4. Cubs knocked down pittsburgh, 9-8. St. Louis fell to the Nationals, 2-1.
In Triple Overtime, the Chicago Blackhawks took down the Nashville Predators 3-2 to put them just one game away from advancing to the second round of the playoffs. The series is split 3-1. St. Louis will try to tie up their series against Minnesota tonight in Minnesota. That series is split at 2-1.
In the NBA Playoffs, Chicago takes on Milwaukee tonight. They lead the series 2-0.
