SCC lost a four run lead to fall to Muscatine last night. The 7th ranked Blackhawks gave up six runs in the latter half of the game to lose 6-4. SCC Softball split a double header with Illinois Central, losing 9-2 and winning 7-4 respectively.
A three-run, inside the park homerun lifted the Burlington Bees over the Beloit Snappers to take the second game of the series 4-3 in Wisconsin. A Caleb Adams hit bounced over Beloit Center Fielder Brett Vertigan’s head, allowing for the three-run play.
Cubs fell to the Pirates 4-3, Cardinals took down the Nationals, 7-5. White Sox got revenge, beating Cleveland 6-0. Twins blanked the Royals, 3-0.
The St. Louis Blues tied up thier series with the Minnesota Wild, winning 6-1 in the 4th game of their 7th game series. Chicago could very well advance to round 2 tonight if they beat the Nashville Predators tonight.
