Bulls Clobber Bucks, Bears take White

After suffering a loss on Wednesday, the Burlington Bees picked right back up with a win last night at home against Kane County. A Bees run in the 13th Inning lifted them past the Cougars 3-2.

On the Pro level, Cardinals over the Phillies 9-3, Twins blew past the White Sox 12-2, Royals over the Tigers 8-1.

Prep Soccer, Burlington blew a halftime lead to lose to Davenport Central, 5-2. Burlington’s Girls also fell to Davenport Central, 10-1. Danville-New London took down Holy Trinity 3-2, Washington over Mediapolis 3-2. Fairfield’s Girls beat Mount Pleasant, 2-1. Fort Madison’s Boys blanked Keokuk, 2-0.

And in the NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears took West Virginia Wide Reciever Kevin White with their 1st round pick at 7th overall. St Louis Rams took Runnign Back Tood Gurley from Georgia. Iowa’s very own Brandon Scherff was selected 5th overall by the Washington Redskins at Offensive Tackle.

And in the NBA, the Chicago Bulls will play Cleveland on Monday in the second round of the NBA Playoffs, having beat the Milwaukee Bucks by the second largest margin in playoff history–54 points. They won 120-66.
