Obituaries Thursday May 7th

Beth Ann Wilson, 56, of Burlington, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at her home.

 

Born March 12, 1959, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Paul Marvin and Barbara Louise Schulte Kaltefleiter. She married Bill Evans in May 1982.  They later divorced.  On September 21, 1991, she married William Wesley Wilson in Burlington. He died September 17, 2007.

 

Beth worked with plants at various garden centers, she was a bartender at Big Muddy’s, and was a cook at Catfish Bend Casino.

 

She enjoyed fishing, and loved plants, and animals, especially horses.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Barbra Wilson of Burlington; two sons, Billy Evans and Benjamin Wilson, both of Burlington; two brothers, Patrick (Diann) Kaltefleiter of Burlington and Michael (Kathy) Schulte of Swisher, IA; two sisters, Lisa (Jeff Hand) Harris and Margie (Allen) Neff, both of Burlington; several nieces and nephews; and her close friend, Edward Webb of Burlington.

 

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Mark and her grandparents.

 

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Thielen Crematory.

 

Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM with the family to receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Friday, May 8, 2015, at Thielen Funeral Home.

 

The memorial service for Mrs. Wilson will be 10:30 AM Friday, May 8, 2015, at Thielen Funeral Home with Reverend Dean Graber officiating.   A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Thielen Funeral Home following the service.   Burial will be in  at a later date.

 

A memorial has been established for Hope Haven Racine House and the care of her children.

Robin R. Muff, 60, Mediapolis died Tuesday May 5th at her home.

She is survived by her husband, Erwin, mother, Emeline Holtkamp of Denmark, IA, 2 daughters, Esther and Hanna Muff, a grand daughter, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday May 11th at the 1st Baptist Church of Mediapolis with burial in the Kossuth Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service at the church.

Lunning Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

 

Wilma Edith Wagaman, 102, West Burlington died Wednesday May 6th at the Burlington Care Center.

She is survived by a son David of West Burlington, 2 daughters, Mary Storch of West Burlington and Carol Forsythe of Hiawatha, Iowa, a sister, Iris Pierce of Arlington, Washington and a brother Dwaine Boothe of Chariton, Iowa.

Funeral services will be at 230 PM Monday May 11th at Lunning Chapel with burial in  the Greenwood Cemetery in rural West Burlington.  Friends may call Sunday from Noon to 5 with the family receiving friends from 3-5 Sunday May 10th at Lunnings.
