Court Documents allege that former Burlington City Councilman Chris King admitted to sexually molesting several teenagers following his arrest on Wednesday.
The 40 year old King, the owner of Daisy Frames Photography Studios in Downtown Burlington, had bond set at $65,500 in a court appearance Thursday. He’s charged with two counts of 3rd degree sexual abuse, one count of assault with penetration of genitalia or the anus, dissemination of obscene material to minors, and indecent exposure.
Police say that King, on multiple occasions, contacted teenage customers through social media following their initial sitting, offering them “discounts” on their photo sessions if they came to the studio to “assist” King. King would then, allegedly, provide the teenage girls with alcoholic beverages and drive to locations in rural Des Moines county, where according to police, he would expose his genitalia, fondle the victims and force them to engage in sexually oriented games.
King allegedly admitted to having sexual intercourse with at least one of his victims and offered several of them money in exchange for sex–if they refused, he would attempt to rape them, police say.
The charges involve four separate victims, however, the charges are prompting several other alleged victims to come forward with their stories. One of those alleged victims told us that Facebook has been contacted to retrieve social media messages pertaining to the incident.
King was arrested at his home on Wednesday without incident.
He served on the Burlington City Council between 2002 and 2005.
