Greyhounds Find Success, Bulls Fall to Cleveland

The Burlington Greyhound Girls won a battle on the soccer pitch last night, downing Clinton 5-3, the Boys team was also victorious over Clinton, 1-0. In other prep soccer action the 6th Ranked Danville-New London Boys Squad won over IMS, 4-0. Keokuk’s undefeated Girls beat Fort Madison 9-0. Holy Trinity’s Girls beat Mid Prairie 6-1, their boys won 2-0 over Central Lee. Mediapolis fell to Columbus, 2-1.

Burlington Bees took down Kane County last night in a 13-6 Victory on the road.

St. Louis Cardinals beat the Cleveland Indians in Interleague Play 8-3. Cubs beat the Mets 6-1. Twins fell to Detroit 2-1. Royals took down the Rangers 7-6.

The Chicago Bulls fell to Cleveland on the road, 106-101 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals to fall to 3-2 on the series. They could face elimination or tie the series on Thursday in front of a friendly audience in Chicago.

In the NFL, Tom Brady will appeal his four game suspension from the league after an NFL investigation determined that Brady and several members of the Patriots Staff likely knew that balls were deflated during the AFC Championship Game.
