WBND’s Trousil Breaks State Record, Bees Beat Wisconsin

West Burlington Notre Dame’s Isaiah Trousil obliterated the class 2A record at the State Track Meet last night, winning the 200 meter dash in 21.76 seconds, beating a personal, school, and competition record–a competition record that previously stood for 35 years. Fort Madison’s Girls Relay team managed to survive a dropped baton in order to finish second in the 4 by 800 relay. Burlington’s Tomose Chew started strong but finished 24th in the 400 meter dash.

Prep Soccer, Fort Madison beat Holy Trinity 2-0. Holy Trinity managed to beat Fort Madison’s Girls team, 4-0.

Burlington Bees took down Wisconsin last night, 6-3.

Cubs took down the Padres 3-0, Mets blanked the Cardinals 5-0, White Sox fell to the Indians, 5-2

In the NHL the Anaheim Ducks blew past the Chicago Blackhawks 2-1 to take a 2-1 lead in the seven game Western Conference Finals series. They play again tomorrow.
