“American Pharoah” Wins Triple Crown, Bees Drop One to Loons

For the first time in 37 years a racing horse has won the Triple Crown. “American Pharoah”, a 3 year old colt, won the Belmont Stakes to round out wins at the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, accomplishing a feat that has not been done since “Affirmed” won all three in 1978.

Martin Truex Jr. took home the checkered flag at the Axalta Winners 400 at Pocono Raceway last night. It was his first Sprint Cup victory since 2013.

Burlington Bees just barely lost a game to the Great Lakes Loons on the road last night. They fell 9-8.

Cardinals beat the Dodgers 4-2. Royals beat texas 4-3. Cubs over the Nationals 6-3. White Sox fell to the Tigers 6-4. And the Twins blanked the Brewers 2-0.

With the series tied up, the Chicago Blackhawks take their home ice tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning in a series tied at one each.
