Warriors Beat Cavaliers in NBA Finals, Cardinals Under Investigation

The Golden State Warriors won their first championship in 40 years as they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-97 in Game Six of the NBA Finals last night. The Cavs remain without ever winning a championship and the City’s Championship drought will likely extend to 52 years.

The St. Louis Cardinals are in the spotlight, and not in a good way. Federal Law Enforcement Authorities are investigating the team to determine whether they hacked into the Houston Astro’s computer database to obtain information on players. The investigation didn’t stop them from beating the Twins last night, 3-2.

In other Major League action. White Sox fell to Pittsburgh, 3-0. Royals beat the Brewers 7-2. Cubs fell to Cleveland, 6-0.

Burlington Bees fell to Cedar Rapids, 2-1.

West Burlington-Notre Dame’s Softball team beat Cardinal 4-1. New London beat Central Lee 1-0. Mediapolis fell to Highland 14-1.

Baseball action, it was Notre Dame over Holy Trinity 7-3. West Burlington over Cardinal 13-3. Highland over Mediapolis 5-3.
