Alan A. Woolwine, age 64, of Mediapolis, died unexpectedly at his home on June 29, 2015. Born February 20, 1951, he was the son of Amy Vance and Harvey Lane Woolwine. Alan graduated from Mediapolis High School and Parsons College in Fairfield with a degree in English. His first job was being a DJ on the radio. He started working at Schrock Lumber in 1975 and continued working there until his death. He enjoyed going to the farm with his beloved dog and friend Roscoe. Everyone was familiar with Roscoe because he and Alan walked morning and night in Mediapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include friends and cousins.
His body has been cremated. Visitation for Alan will be from 2 to 7 Thursday with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7pm at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis.
A memorial fund has been established for the Humane Society.
