The West Burlington Notre Dame softball team had their season come to an end last night as they fell to 11th ranked West Liberty in the class 3A regional Quarterfinal, 3-1. They finish their season at 22-14. New London routed Keota 13-0 in Class 1A off a no hitter by Morgan Christner. 9th ranked Wapello beat Lisbon, 7-3. Mid Prairie over Central Lee, 12-0. Northeast over Louisa-Muscatine, 5-0.
The Burlington Bees bad luck streak continues after late back-to-back homeruns by Peoria buried the Bees, 2-1. The loss drops the Bees to 4-10 on the second half of the season, the worst record in the Midwest League after a 3-0 start.
Cardinals took down the Cubs, 6-5. Royals beat the Rays, 9-7. Twins beat the Orioles, 5-3.
