A new fire truck might be on the horizon for the Burlington Fire Department.
Fire Chief Matt Trexel said that the department is looking to add a new fire engine after forming a team to research the future needs of the Fire Department.
One bid came within the Fire Department’s budget: a $543,000 bid from Pierce Manufacturing. If approved at the next city council meeting, it should take about 10 months to arrive at the Fire Station.
