Clinton Confident About Email Handling

WINTERSET, Iowa (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton says she never knowingly sent or received classified information using her private email server and does not know what messages are being cited by intelligence investigators as examples of emails containing classified information.

Clinton spoke briefly about the email matter Saturday after a Democratic gathering in Iowa. Reporters raised the topic of the email during a brief news conference.

Intelligence investigators told the Justice Department in a letter this week that secret government information may have been compromised in the unsecured system Clinton used at her New York home during her tenure as secretary of state.

Asked if the Justice Department should investigate, Clinton tells reporters that’s up to officials.
