Burlington Police Arrest One, Seeking Second in Robbery Case

Burlington Police have arrested one following an early morning assault and robbery that hospitalized the victim on Thursday.

20 year old Keith Lashun Metz of Opelousas, Louisiana, was arrested after police say he and another man, 36 year old Tremaine “Donald” Dlanod Perine of Alabama assaulted and robbed a man following a dispute over property in the 2300 block of Vogt Street. The men were known to the victim.

Metz was charged with 2nd degree robbery. Perine is still at large. Police are asking the public to call 911 immediately if they know of Perine’s whereabouts. He is to be considered armed and dangerous and may have left the area.

Police do not believe that the attack was a random act.
