The Burlington Bees suffered their second straight loss to Midwest League-best Kane County, 5-4 last night in Geneva, Illinois. The loss came after the Bees were leading 2-1 going in to the seventh inning. They play again tonight.
St Louis Cardinals have also dropped two straight, they lost to the Reds 1-0 last night, it was the first time the Reds have won two in a row against St. Louis since 2006.
Chicago Cubs downed the Colorado Rockies 3-2. Cubs starter John Lester struck out 14 batters in the win.
The Kansas City Royals were belted by the desperate Cleveland Indians 12-1. The Indians broke a six game winless home streak.
