An elderly Burlington man was found dead Friday following a tragic lawnmower accident in rural Des Moines County.
Des Moines County Sheriff’s Deputies say that 84 year old James Elder was pronounced dead on the scene at 3:12pm after being found underneath the lawn tractor.
Officials believe that the tractor somehow tipped over, trapping Elder underneath.
