St. Louis Cardinals also had a rough time last night as they lost to the Cincinnati Reds, 3-2. American League leader Kansas City took on divisional rival Detroit last night, winning 5-1. Minnesota Twins fell again to Toronto 3-1, that loss was especially brutal as Minnesota has now dropped out of the second AL wild card spot. The Chicago White Sox struggled in a loss to the Tampa Bay Rays 11-3, that was thanks to a season high four-homers from Tampa’s batting staff. Chicago Cubs blanked the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-0, it was their sixth straight win.

Tom Brady’s “Deflategate” hearing testimony has been released. According to transcripts, Brady denied under oath that he knew anything about the balls being deflated during the AFC championship game against the Indianapolis Colts.
