One fatality results from a multi-vehicle accident Friday evening, on Highway 34, near Middletown, Iowa.
Douglas R. Rettig, age 52, of Burlington was traveling eastbound on his motorcycle when he and the vehicle driven by Kristen M. Kimble, Age 23, of Hillsboro, Iowa, also traveling eastbound collided.
Rettig came to a rest in the middle of the inside lane, Kimble’s vehicle stopped on the inside shoulder. Betty Slusher, age 72, of Media, Illinois drove through the accident scene and struck Rettig.
Rettig suffered fatal injuries, no information on the condition of the other drivers.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident.
