The Iowa State Fair wrapped up on Sunday and with that the Office of the Iowa Secretary of State has released their final numbers from the unofficial Straw Poll taken at the fair.
9,008 Fairgoers participated in the Iowa Secretary of State’s a Presidential Straw Poll at the Iowa State Fair.
As of Sunday, Donald Trump had the most votes with 1,830. He was followed by Hillary Clinton with 1,338, and Bernie Sanders with 1,217.
The polling occurred over 11 days. Clinton and Sanders were only about 5% points apart during voting. Trump came in first for Republicans with 29% of the vote and Ben Carson was second with 19% of the vote.
