Obituaries Tuesday September 1st

Danny “Spud” Muller, 86, of Carthage, IL passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
He was born August 25, 1929 in Richland Center, WI, the son of Lou and Ruth Muller. On December 26, 1964 he married Doris Rogers in Winona, MN. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2014.
Mr. Muller served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He operated the crusher machine for Turner Stone in Dallas City and later Cessford Construction for 42 years. He loved baseball and football, especially the White Sox and Packers. He also enjoyed fishing and mushrooming. He was a member of the Burnside Christian Church where he served as Deacon.
He is survived by one daughter, Angie Cochran of Argyle, IA, one son, Corrie Muller of Dallas City, two grandchildren, Daniel Joseph Frintzjunker of Burlington, IA and Gavin John Muller of Dallas City, one great-granddaughter, Autumn Marie Fritzjunker, one brother Kenley Muller of South Beloit, WI, two sistsers, Betty Cook of Rockford, IL and Kathy Leatherberry of Ontario, WI and one sister-in-law, Ruth Muller of La Farge, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one sister, three brothers and his step-mother, Beulah Muller.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at Banks and Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Mark Pettit officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow in the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City. The family will meet with friends from 9:00 AM until time of services. Thomas M Lindoff Jr., 85, Burlington died Monday August 31 at the Danville Care Center.

He is survived by his sister Ethel Ward of Atlanta GA and sister-in-law Carolyn Sommerfeld of Burlington.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday September 3rd at Lunning Chapel with burial in the Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service on Thursday.
