Bees Finish Season, Cubs Beat Cards at Busch

The Burlington Bees finished up their last game of the season last night, and it was on a high note. The Bees beat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in a 4-0 shut out, which also propelled them above Wisconsin in the final standings. The Bees finish at 28-42 for the second half of the season in third-to-last place, with a total season record of 63-76.

In Major League baseball action the Cubs scored a 9-0 rout of the St. Louis Cardinals AT Busch stadium last night in St. Louis. League-leading Cardinals are still ahead of the Cubs in the NL Central, with the Cubs behind 7 and a half games.

The White Sox fell to the Cleveland Indians at home, 3-2.

Kansas City Royals have lost four straight now as they lost last night to the Minnesota Twins, 6-2. They’re still on top of the American league standings.

In College Volleyball action, SCC lost their first match to 12th ranked Indian Hills, in a three set loss.
