Organizers: Good Turnout for 68th Tri-State Rodeo Parade

Over 163 floats, bands and cars marched down Avenue G in Fort Madison Saturday for the 68th Annual Fort Madison Tri-State Rodeo Parade.

Kirk Sherwood coordinated the parade this year. He says it’s the biggest they’ve had in at least four years.

“We’ve [had] a lot of good floats this year. A lot of people. A lot of participation. We’ve had 163 entries and probably 500-600… horses,” Sherwood told KBUR.

The theme of this years parade was “Cowboys, Past, Present, and Future”.

Marching bands from Fort Madison, Burlington, Holy Trinity, Central Lee, Quincy, and Clark County performed during the parade.

The rodeo wrapped up on Saturday.
