Fort Madison Police Arrest Man Wanted for Dallas City Home Invasion, Weapons Crimes

Fort Madison Police say that they’ve arrested a man who was wanted for a Dallas City Home Invasion as well as a September 2nd assault in which he allegedly pointed a gun at a man.

Police arrested 27 year old Adam James Huss after police spotted him leaving the Tri-State Rodeo on Friday.

Huss allegedly brandished the pistol at three people during the dispute earlier this month in the 3000 block of Avenue E, leading to three counts of assault while participating in a felony, aggravated assault, carrying weapons, and Possession of a Firearm by a felon charges.

Huss was also sought in connection with a September 9th home invasion in Dallas City. Huss, who lives in Fort Madison, was spotted after the home invasion by a Fort Madison Police Officer and stopped, however Huss fled the officer during the traffic stop in his car. The officer gave chase, and ended up losing control of her squad car and striking a parked vehicle, leading to an interference with official acts charge.
