Iowa Fertilizer Company Offering Reward in Bomb Threat Investigation

The Iowa Fertilizer Company is offering a $30,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the slew of recent bomb threats at the facility.

The Fertilizer plant, still under construction near Wever, has been the target of three separate bomb threats this year, the most recent one happening earlier this week.

On July 21st, the construction site was evacuated and workers were sent home after a bomb threat was discovered scrawled on the wall of a port-a-potty. The two bomb threats since have been delivered in the same way, however no further evacuations have taken place.

The reward was announced on the Burlington Crime Stoppers Facebook Page.

Anyone with any information is encouraged to call Burlington Crime Stoppers at (319) 752-6835 or the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at (319) 372-1152.
