Fort Madison Man Arrested for Allegedly Beating and Robbing Donnellson Man

More arrests are pending after Fort Madison Police arrested a 22 year old Ft. Madison man on Monday, on assault charges for allegedly beating a Donnellson man in the Old Denmark Hill Area on Friday night.

On Friday, September 25th, at 11:37 p.m., Ft. Madison Police Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Old Denmark Hill for a report of a person yelling for help in that area, responding officers were unable to locate anyone in need of assistance. A short time later, officers were requested at the Fort Madison Community Hospital emergency room where 21 yer old Timothy Wolgemuth of Donnellson was being treated for serious injuries he received from being physically assaulted near the 1000 block of Old Denmark Hill. During the investigation, officers were able to determine that several individuals were involved in the assault upon Wolgemuth.

Robert E Boyle of Fort Madison was arrested on September 28th, for willful injury (a class C Felony), robbery in the first degree (a class B felony) and conspiracy (a class C felony) for his reported actions during the assault during the assault on Wolgemuth. This case is still under investigation and others are sought in connection with the assault.

Wolgemuth sustained serious injuries to his head and face, along with injuries to his torso and was transferred from Fort Madison Community Hospital to the Iowa City Hospital and Clinics for further treatment of his injuries.
