There’s a new assistant police chief in West Burlington.
Jesse Logan received his badge from Mayor Hans Trousil during a Wednesday night City Council meeting.
Logan comes to the department from the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, where he’s worked since 2003. He’s no stranger to West Burlington, having worked for the department between 1999 and 2003. He’s a lifelong resident of the area who lives in West Burlington with his wife and three kids.
The previous assistant chief, Shaun Ryan, vacated the position after becoming the city’s Fire Chief.
