St . Louis Officials say they’ll be stepping up security tonight at Busch Stadium as one of Baseball’s biggest rivalries takes center stage in the National League Division Series. The Chicago Cubs will travel to St. Louis with their starting pitcher, Jon Lester, facing off against the Cardinal’s John Lackey.
On the American league side yesterday Kansas City fell in the first game of their five game series with the Houston Astros 5-2. Texas beat Toronto 5-3.
Tonight, Football kicks off in the local area on the high school level. Burlington Greyhounds travel to Iowa City, Mount Pleasant hosts Fairfield, Fort Madison travels to Centerville, Keokuk visits Washington. Central Lee travels to Mid-Prairie, Mediapolis hosts Louisa-Muscatine, Wapello hosts West Branch, Columbus hosts Pella Christian, Danville hosts Cardinal, Winfield-Mount Union travels to WACO.
And the Burlington Greyhounds Golf Team has a big day ahead of them. The Class 4A State Golf meet tees off at 10:30 this morning.
