Davenport Man Arrested for Numerous Jewelry Store Burglaries in Des Moines County

Davenport man is arrested for robbing four jewelry stores in Des Moines County and is facing several other charges.

On Friday, October 9th, the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office issued four warrants for the arrest of Gregory Wayne Myers, age 57, of Davenport. The warrants are for four counts of Burglary 3rd degree, a class D felony. Bond is set at $100,000

Myers is suspected of committing four daytime jewelry thefts in rural Des Moines County during the months of March and April of this year.

Myers’ arrest is the culmination of a four state task force investigation, organized to combat similar jewel heists in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and Arkansas.

Myers is currently incarcerated in the Muscatine County Iowa Jail on numerous charges from several Iowa counties.
