4 People Sentenced in Eastern Iowa Bank Robbery

MARTELLE, Iowa (AP) — A judge has sentenced four people in connection with a bank robbery in eastern Iowa.

KCRG-TV reports that two brothers, 25-year-old Andrew Palmer and 22-year-old Shiloh Palmer, were sentenced to 12 years in prison. Both pleaded guilty to armed bank robbery, aiding and abetting and using a firearm in a violent crime.

Their sister, 26-year-old Elizabeth Olinger, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for her role in the robbery and her husband, Peter Olinger, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Prosecutors say the brothers entered a bank in Martelle with long-necked guns and stole an undisclosed amount of money. They say the sister and her husband were getaway drivers.

Authorities also say Elizabeth Olinger came up with idea to rob the bank, and her husband helped plan the robbery.
