Two Fort Madison Teens Charged; Accused of Firebombing Cars

Two Fort Madison teenagers are facing charges after allegedly throwing homemade firebombs at several parked cars last weekend, destroying one.

Fort Madison Police Captain Rob Hogan says that the teenagers, aged 15 and 16, created “molotov cocktail” style bombs successfully used one to torch a parked car. The other two bombs ricocheted off of the vehicles, with at least one exploding near the car but causing no damage.

One of the vehicles also had it’s windshield smashed with a brick.

The 15 year old is charged with three counts of felony Arson, one count of Aggravated Arson, and one count of Criminal Mischief. The 16 year old is charged with three counts of Aiding and Abetting Arson and one count of Aiding and Abetting Aggravated Arson.
