Election Day Coming Up: Absentee Info, Polling Locations

Elections in Des Moines County are just a week away, but if you plan to vote absentee, you’ll have to turn in your ballot a bit earlier.

Election day is Tuesday, November 3rd with polls opening at 7:00 am in Burlington as West Burlington. Polls in Danville, Mediapolis, and Middletown open at noon. All polls close at 8:00 pm.

Absentee voting in-person for Burlington and West Burlington closes on Monday, November 2nd at 5:00 pm. In Danville, Mediapolis, and Middletown, early absentee voting can be completed by 11:00 am on election day. Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by November 2nd.

You can also hand-deliver or surrender your absentee ballot in order to vote on election day at your precinct.

Polling Places in Burlington:

Precincts 1, 2, and 3 will vote at Oak Street Baptist Church at 1303 Oak Street.

Precincts 4, 5, and 9 will vote at Messiah Lutheran Church at 2411 West Avenue.

Precincts 6, 7, and 8 will vote at Bethany Lutheran Church at 2515 Madison Avenue.

Elsewhere in Des Moines County:

West Burlington voters will vote at St. Mary’s Parish Center at 502 West Mount Pleasant Street in West Burlington.

Danville voters will vote at the Danville Community Building at 104 West Shepherd Street in Danville.

Mediapolis voters will vote at Mediapolis City Hall at 510 Main Street in Mediapolis.
