The Fort Madison High School Volleyball team is heading to the regional finals after taking down Mount Pleasant in a sweep last night. Burlington didn’t have such a great time on the court, they fell to second ranked Bettendorf in a sweep. They finish the season at 12 and 19.
In Basketball action on the college court, the Iowa Hawkeyes won in an exhibition game over the University of Sioux Falls, 99-73.
Tonight, in New York City, the Kansas City Royals will face off against the New York Mets in the third game of the World Series. The Mets are probably relieved to be at home, having dropped the first two games of the series. First pitch is at 7:07 pm.
