Royals Win the World Series, Packers Suffer First Loss

The Kansas City Royals have done it. They ruined a lot of people’s day in New York City as they staged a comeback win over the Mets in game five of the World Series to win the Commissioner’s Trophy for the first time since 1985. The Royals are the only team since the 2002 Champion Anaheim Angels to stage comeback wins in all four of their victories.

The Green Bay Packers are no longer undefeated. They fell to the hosting Denver Broncos last night on the road in the battle between the two unbeaten teams, 29-10.

The Chicago Bears suffered a loss last night against the Minnesota Vikings, 23-20.

The St. Louis Rams continued to use running back Todd Gurley to the best of his ability, scoring a 27-6 win against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Kansas City Chiefs put on a show in front of a crowd in London, beating the Lions 45-10 in London’s Wembley Stadium.

In NASCAR, Jeff Gordon won a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Finale by winning at Martinsville. Matt Kenseth might be sanctioned by NASCAR after apparently intentionally wrecking Joey Logano, who led for 207 laps.
