Burlington Police are still investigating after a car crashed into two homes on South 12th Street on Thursday.
Police say that a vehicle driven by 22 year old Domonick Hicks was travelling at a high rate of speed at around 9:30 am when it went offroad and crashed into a home at 807 South 12th street before careering into the house next door, 805 South 12th Street.
Hicks than allegedly fled the scene and drove to his residence about a block and a half away.
When police arrived, they learned that Hicks was transported by private vehicle to Great River Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
No one inside either home was injured in the crash. There was considerable structural damage to the first home, 807 S 12th.
Police are still trying to determine whether or not Hicks was intoxicated during the incident.
