Burlington Man Arrested for Attempting to Elude Officers in Fort Madison

A Burlington man who attempted to elude police officers in Fort Madison was charged with two counts of possession of controlled substance.

Bryan Oliver Boone, age 45, of Burlington caught the attention of a police officer as he was driving in the wrong direction in a one way alley. The police officer attempted to conduct a routine traffic stop but Boone eluded the officer for four blocks before being pulled over on Ave. A and Peavine Lane.

The arresting officer conducted a search of Boone’s person and found him to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Boone is charged with two counts of possession of controlled substance and one count of drug paraphernalia, eluding an officer and driving while under suspension.

This is Boone’s 2nd possession of a controlled substance offense.
